ENECA at the AmCham conference "The second lap time - engage for change"

The conference entitled "Another lap time - engage for change" was held on Tuesday, December 17th in Belgrade, organized by the American Chamber of Commerce. AmCham organized one more in a series of round table discussions where participants discussed the preconditions that would lead to new jobs, as well as the obstacles faced by companies in the Serbian market.

Panelists were Lazar Krstic, Minister of Finance, Sasa Radulovic, Minister of Economy, Nikola Selakovic, Minister of Justice and Public Administration, Milos Djurkovic, president of the American Chamber of Commerce, Zoran Petrovic, CEO of Raiffeisen Bank and chairman of the finance committee of the American Chamber of Commerce, Michael Davenport, Head of the EU Delegation to Serbia, as well as Chris Woods, General Director of Japan Tobacco International.


At the conference, research of AmChaima has been presented, how to make new jobs and reduce unemployment rate in Serbia, which is a growing problem and can not be avoided any more. Some of the conclusions that resulted after the conference are that the number of unemployed people can be reduced with the labor law reform but of course the stabilization of the economic environment is necessary.

NGO ENECA  has attended the conference as a partner company of the company Philip Morris on the program “Start Up for Your Business”. The program was declared the best one ongoing in the country and also achieved the best results and effects among all funded projects in over 150 countries in which the Company operates and donates to the community. The program “Start Up for Your Business” is directly supporting initiation and expansion of small and family businesses by allocating equipment and resources for work, organizing free training in entrepreneurship, marketing and sales for all the supported clients of the programs as well as providing free consulting services.

The open call for the program “Start Up for Your Business” is still open, until 31.12.2013. and through this year's national program 100 entrepreneurs from all over Serbia will be supported.
