Grant Contracts signed in Municipality of Kursumlija

Within the project “Support to employment and livelihood enhancement of refugees and IDP’s in Serbia”, financed by EU, with financial support of supported municipalities, ENECA has signed Grant Contracts with 15 refugees and IDP’s residing in Kursumlija, including a small number of local socially vulnerable population.

On behalf of ENECA, Mrs. Marija Stankovic, project coordinator has signed Grant Contracts with beneficiaries on November 28, in Conference Hall of Municipality of Kursumlija, in the presence of Mayor of Kursumlija Mrs. Vesna Jakovljevic, coordinator for refugees of Toplica district Mrs. Vera Djukic and local trustee Mr. Slavko Milojkovic.

Beneficiaries have sent applications in June and July, and during August and September have past through two selections conducted by ENECA, in cooperation with local partners. Equipment that will be provided for startup/development of their business activity will enable them to generate regular income for sustainability of their families. Average value of donation will be 2000 EUR.

Beneficiaries will be provided with business and vocational training in order to have more successful start of their business activity. The main obligations of supported beneficiaries will be to register their business activity and to perform communal work in duration of 15 hours.

Number of applications received during the information campaign was 58. 7 were sent by refugees, 42 by IDPs and 9 by local residents. Most of applicants were interested in agricultural activities - 65,52%, percentage of applicants interested in services was 18,97% and percentage of applicants interested in production was 8,62%.
