Information and communication technology training for entrepreneurs and small businesses

“Information and communication technologies (ICT) still retain a low level of application in economy. The goal of this project is to train entrepreneurs to use ICT in their business activities. The program will support from 60 to 80 small businesses and entrepreneurs. ENECA will organize a series of training courses from September to December“, said Dušan Pavlović, associate to ENECA, at today’s press conference marking the beginning of the project „Promotion of electronic communications and information society among entrepreneurs and small enterprises in the South East Serbia“. Some of the planned topics of the trainings include e-commerce, e-business, e-banking, e-government and consumer protection, said Pavlović.

Marko Ivančević from Digital Agenda Administration of the Ministry of Culture, Media and Information Society said that the Ministry had selected 22 out of 66 submitted projects among which was ENECA’s project. „We are pleased to participate in this project and we will monitor its implementation“, added Ivančević.

„I am pleased that this project has been supported and that the need for ICT promotion in business was recognized. Small entrepreneurs in Serbia have limited knowledge on e-business. The fact that this program is aimed at the broader group of entrepreneurs is the reason we would like to support it“, said Svetislav Pantić from Regional Chamber of Commerce Niš. Ivan Petković from Regional Development Agency agrees that the focus of this project to small businesses is very important.

The goal of the project is to train small entrepreneurs from South East Serbia in ICT so to improve their businesses. The target groups are entrepreneurs and representatives of small businesses from the mentioned field. The trainings are designed for entrepreneurs to include all areas they deal with in everyday business.

Competition for participation in the training will be published in two weeks at The project is implemented by ENECA and is funded by the Ministry of Culture, Media and Information Society. Project partners are Regional Chamber of Commerce Niš and Regional Development Association South.
